The objective
Two large areas to fly with LiDAR, and the existing control points were spread far apart across both, some of them in the brush.
Setup
We localized with the Localize function, then navigated to each control point on the controller’s stakeout screen. The SP30SE base sat on a hydrant mount, with the SP30 as the rover. This time the corrections ran over a SIM card instead of radio, to stay clear of interference on site.
- SP30SEBase, on the hydrant mount
- SP30Rover
- SIM card (cellular)Corrections, clear of radio interference
- LocalizeSite calibration
- Drone LiDARSurvey method
What it produced
Every control point found and shot, so both flights tie to the same control.
