The objective

Layout across a townhouse subdivision in Milton: sidewalks and curbs, the park grading, and the layout at the back of the houses. A very long day on the pole.

Setup

An SP30SE base sat on a hydrant mount. For the layout we used the Spherefix Nano as a lightweight alternative to the SP30 rover, staking from the CAD on the Spherefix data collector off the same SP30SE base.

The Nano is a sixth of the SP30’s weight. Carried all day, that is the difference you feel by the last point.

What it produced

Sidewalks, curbs, park grading and rear-yard points laid out from the drawings, with a light rover through a long day. On the stakeout screen, a point sat 7 mm south and 1 mm west of design, on a fixed solution.
