An RTK GNSS receiver is the instrument that turned a survey crew of three into one person with a pole. The rover takes satellite signals, a correction from a base or a network, and gives you a position good to a couple of centimetres, live, anywhere there is sky. This page is the short version of what to buy, what it costs in Canada, and what to read next. We sell two Spherefix receivers and publish their prices; nobody else on this page does.

Rover, base, or network
Every RTK rover needs a correction. In most of southern Ontario a network subscription such as Can-Net delivers it over the receiver’s modem and you carry one instrument. Where there is no cell coverage, or the site is large and you want to own the correction, you set up your own base, and the SP30’s 5 W radio reaches across a site. The corrections cost guide works through the arithmetic, and the SP30 rover-and-base kit is priced for crews who choose their own base.
What the price buys
- A survey GPS receiver price in Canada from Trimble, Topcon or Leica is a dealer quote. Ours is on the page. The comparison pages put the equipment side by side with the makers’ published figures.
- The nearest published alternative is the Emlid Reach RS3; the SP30 vs RS3 comparison explains why the sticker prices are not like for like.
- Every kit includes the controller, the app without subscription, a pole tripod, the hydrant mount, three months of online training and a 24-month warranty handled by us. See pricing.
